The New Era is taking its first breaths at 0° Aries
Nancy Evelyn
February 2026
On 27 January 2026 Neptune moved to 0° Aries.
On the 14th February 2026 Saturn will also move to 0° Aries.
This is another highly significant radical shift of energy in a 2024-2027 period of the vast cosmic turning of wheel.
We are at the boundary as the door is closing on the old paradigm. There is resistance every step of the way but there is no way back. We will have to get through some seriously challenging and even dangerous times but we cannot go back to what was. There is only forward, onward and upward. We can all recognise this as a description of all or part of our personal lives. We feel it in our every day frustrations. Let’s look at this more closely.
The energy is shifting from Pisces to a very different energy of Aries. Pisces energy is floaty and slips though your fingers into the submarine depths. Compassion, acceptance, let it ride, it rises again unfinished tomorrow. Aries energy is confronting, in your face. It is very direct and it’s going places fast with sword in hand ready for action into the fray.
The energy of Neptune is very different to the energy of Saturn.
Neptune is the planet of dissolution while Saturn is the planet of structure and form. Neptune represents the undercurrent in every aspect of life. The subconscious. Saturn represents hard facts grounded reality.
Neptune is completely at home in the Pisces energy we have become familiar with since 2011. Neptune rules the ocean and the ocean holds EVERYTHING. It holds dreams, inspiration, spirit connection and the state of oneness with all that is. It holds the spirit memory of the Akashic Record of all we have lived and all that has gone before us including trauma and ancestral trauma, the fear, horror, illusion, delusion and madness in an astral soup of the swirling subconscious.
Too much alliteration? It holds that too !
The ocean deconstructs complex emotional dynamic into absorbable pieces and recycles them back to the wholeness of life We can see the virgo pisces axis at work here. Interesting that Buddhist Psychology has come to the forefront in the last several years.
Saturn is the planet of time, responsibility, maturity, form and structure, law and order. It is restrictive and constrictive and we have known it to be a stern but fair teacher. The one who ripens karma. The judge on judgment day. The indicator of where we judge our selves. The gate keeper. The edge of our visible to the naked eye solar system. Saturn represents the boundaries and writes the policy. It is significant that Saturn is here at the crossing.
So these two very different energies have been cohabiting since Saturn entered pisces in march 2023 triggering a collective respect for the importance of spiritual practice and commitment to some form and structure, a life raft to traverse the unknown and mysterious depth of forces beyond our control with Neptune in Pisces.
Cohabitants in Pisces, growing closer and closer, Saturn giving form, Neptune dissolving form. Saturn making regulations, Neptune dissolving regulations. Saturn pushing for commitment and maturity and Neptune fluffing the margins and disappearing when it’s time to sign. Saturn setting limits that Neptune dissolves. So much for cease fires and peace talks.
Where we have personally felt this frustration depends on where Pisces is in our natal chart. Where we will feel the bounce of terrific energy and vitality to Aries will depend on where 0° Aries is in our natal chart. Where ever that is in our chart will awaken with an unstoppable vitality and urgency for change.
0° Aries is a key point on the zodiac. It represents the breath of life. The new life. The new cycle. It is the point of embodiment. Physical birth. Spirit comes into form with the first breath at the world point of 0° Aries.
Aries is ruled by Mars. It is a rash and passionate energy. Cardinal fire is quick to ignite, quick to blow, quick to forget how it has wounded another with a longer memory for how it has itself been wounded. Aries is easy to forgive because Aries is funny. Life and all its frustrations make great stand up comedy.
Aries rules the ego, self and “What about me?” The Self concern for the rights of the individual and the individual need of self expression. The freedom to be ourselves. In the process Aries paves the way for others to follow. The ram, the first sign of the zodiac is a leader.
The Aries path is the development of ego. This path begins with the tending and ripening of a healthy ego. In its maturity we see the dedication and surrendering of that ego to a higher force, higher purpose, for the collective good.
Aries is the first responder with the willingness to rise above self, rapidly assess what is needed and immediately and intuitively act to save a life, or to protect, aid or defend another. Aries is a warrior energy, but it is also a heroic energy. The same energy that makes the conflict creates the hero.
Renee Macklin and Alex Pretti who gave their lives in such compassionate action in Minneapolis; aid workers in Gaza, and the Ukraine; the eco warriors working with endangered species in poaching country; the Rainbow Warriors on the ocean are all heroic. Goddess love them all.
We are entering a period of activism on a scale well beyond what we knew in the 1960’s We have had 14 years to grow compassion, we are aware of the suffering of others, we are aware of our own suffering. We have had 3 years to hone our spiritual practice, develop our spiritual maturity, and learn some skills to make our way through the waters of what Chris Brennan brilliantly called: “the reality distortion zone” of Saturn & Neptune in Pisces.
We are now at zero Aries. It is the point of co-creation.
Now it’s time for ACTION. The collective consciousness is calling out for action born of the compassion we bring from Pisces, and the intuitive sensitive Neptune with the commitment and maturity of Saturn. Responsible, intuitive, compassionate action.
So let’s take a few deep breaths and consider whatever ways of action are in harmony with our personality and our reason for being here for this transition to a new earth paradigm.
The formula is simple: when we feel compassion it is natural to act.
