What a fantastic experience at the 4th Annual Earth Medicine Conference held on 21st and 22nd March! With a theme of ‘For the Love of Gaia’, it was deeply rewarding to spend two days with so many like-minded people.

The program was packed with a wonderful array of presentations covering a huge and diverse range of topics, all reflecting the ‘For the Love of Gaia’ theme. It included environmental-themed talks to herbal presentations, Feng Shui, Astrology, Ayurvedic medicine, Yoga Nidra and much more! The vast majority of presenters are Estuary Learning members, all skilled practitioners within the Earth Medicine field.

One of our founding members of Estuary Learning, Christina Gerakiteys, delivered brilliantly in the MC role again this year, a role that she has performed for us over a number of years and made her own!

Natalie Isaacs, the founder of 1 Million Women, delivered a wonderful keynote address entitled ‘Sacred Activism for the Love of Gaia’. A key message that stood out from her presentation focused on the impact that we can all have as individuals to make a difference, even in very small ways, and how the ripple effects that may flow from this are huge and can even be life changing.

One conference highlight for me came on Day Two, a session entitled ‘Elders Sharing Their Wisdom’. It was a real delight to be in the room and hear Nancy Evelyn, Steph Quinn, Sally Kingsford-Smith, Sylvia Reitsma, Diana Mund and Pat Collins, these amazing Elders, all speak from their hearts and experience the ball of energy that they created.

I had the joy of presenting an interactive workshop on ‘Connecting to Self.’ As part of the presentation, it was a pleasure to have created a guided gratitude meditation and so rewarding to hear participant responses afterwards. And for two days post-conference, it was a privilege to provide my energy balancing sessions one-on-one and be totally booked out!

It was great to have Kristin Gilmore from OptimalRx with us and Lara Ryan and Nicola Kelly from HEC, all three representing organisations who had taken out a Gold Sponsorship with our conference this year. We were very grateful to all our sponsors who so generously donated raffle prizes and contributed to fantastic ‘goody bags’ that we all had the luxury of taking home and are still enjoying!

The photos on the right capture a sense of this fabulous gathering. And I’m already looking forward to next year’s conference – dates are set for the 5th Annual Earth Medicine Conference on March 20th and 21st 2027 back at Rydges Hotel in Newcastle. Can’t wait!
