Energising, Nutrient Packed Smoothie

This smoothie is great for providing sustained energy due to the protein and good fats found in the hemp seeds and LSA, and the slow-release carbohydrates in the oat bran. These foods are also fantastic for keeping things moving regularly in the bowels as they are high in fibre and good fats. The hydrolysed collagen powder is well absorbed and great for improving the integrity of the gut lining whilst also strengthening and maintaining our ligaments, tendons, bones, cartilage, hair, skin and nails. Fruits and baby spinach will provide our bodies with antioxidants and important phytonutrients to help reduce inflammation, as well as enzymes and fibre for healthy digestion. This is a nutrient dense smoothie that will keep you feeling fuller longer, balance your blood sugar levels and help reduce those afternoon cravings and energy slump!! And it tastes great!! 

 

*If using frozen fruit look for an organic brand such as ‘Oob’, to reduce intake of herbicides and pesticides

*Vegan collagen alternatives can be used instead of the hydrolysed collagen.

Ingredients

  • 2 fruits of choice

  • 1-2 spoonfuls of hemp seeds

  • 1-2 spoonfuls of LSA

  • 1 spoonful of oat bran

  • 1 handful of baby spinach

  • 1 serve of hydrolysed collagen powder

  • 350ml of filtered water

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients into a Nutribullet, Vitamix or blender

  2. Mix for 30 seconds on high speed

  3. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
